Together with his sisters Jennifer and Verginy, who share his passion for heritage and the arts, they created From Leb With Love . Their products, from heritage tours of Lebanese houses and temples to cultural puzzles and educational kits , are designed to connect the past with the future. Since launching, they’ve expanded their reach to Lebanese expats, introduced new product lines, and enhanced their online presence. Now, they’re expanding into heritage experiences with cultural tours and workshops that immerse people in Lebanon's history.

Despite Lebanon's economic crisis, he and his team have focused on resilience and adaptability. They've diversified income streams by expanding into heritage tours and cultural experiences while targeting the Lebanese diaspora and partnering with local artisans to control costs using creative marketing to stay visible in a challenging market.

Lana’s journey began In 2014, when she started a Facebook page to promote reading and sell the books her father had collected but couldn't sell, while she was working a full-time job. Her first big break came when she participated in the "Portal 9" magazine launch, selling books at a market and making a significant amount of side income. Encouraged by her success, she continued participating in used book markets around Beirut and Jbeil, gradually helping raise awareness of used books at local events.

The bookshop was inspired by Lana’s natural sales skills and the fact that she was raised around books all her life , she aimed to combine these passions to generate income for her family. The shop was then renovated after 15 years of closure offering a diverse selection of out-of-print, rare, vintage, and new books in Arabic, English, and French, serving both local and international readers through its e-commerce platform . The bookshop also offers retail services, book procurement, and cultural events, aiming to promote reading, preserve Arabic, and reach the Lebanese diaspora.

Like many entrepreneurs in Lebanon, Lana navigated the crisis by adapting the shop’s offerings and finding new income streams by selling both new and used books to cater to all readers. Throughout lockdowns and the war, she continued operating, delivering books to families at home, though some publishers were temporarily inaccessible.

Lana’s advice to entrepreneurs ?

Antonio’s entrepreneurship journey started after earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Milan in 2020, where he co-founded Associazione Farmacisti Liberi Professionisti (ALFP) in 2021, an organization that collaborates with the Order of Pharmacists in Italy to oversee pharmacies and medications. At the time, his focus was entirely on healthcare and a career in media was not something he had initially planned. However, a strong connection to his home country, Lebanon, inspired him to seek opportunities to contribute to its growth and development.

Although he had always been intrigued by the media’s profound influence on daily life, it wasn’t until later that he became captivated by its ability to shape behaviors and attitudes. Whether during a commute, on the way to school, or while heading out, media’s pervasive impact fascinated him. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he decided to delve deeper into the field to understand its inner workings.
This pursuit led to the founding of MediaMed, a billboard advertising company based in Northern Lebanon that focuses on leveraging outdoor media to engage diverse audiences.

Launching the business amid Lebanon’s numerous challenges was no small feat. While a stable career in Italy provided some security, building MediaMed required relentless determination and perseverance.

What started as a small office with a handful of staff members has grown into a leading organization with over 150 full-time team members. Today, ABAAD is recognized as a regional leader in gender equality and a reliable partner to local, regional, and international entities promoting gender equality, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. Through innovative programs, advocacy efforts, and strategic partnerships, ABAAD continues to push for transformative change and gender justice, modeling the approach of engaging men and boys as allies to end gender based violence.

Like many organizations in Lebanon, ABAAD has faced significant challenges during these tough times. The team has endured personal and collective losses while shifting donor priorities and funding restrictions have strained operations. Political deadlock has also hindered advocacy efforts and progress on crucial law reforms. Despite these setbacks, Ghida remains hopeful that recent developments mark the beginning of a new chapter for Lebanon, one where meaningful change and recovery are within reach.

Entrepreneur Spotlight: Meet Layal Al-Kibbi, Founder of The Web District.

Layal’s story is one of turning passion into purpose. Starting out as a computer engineer, she spent years in technical roles, solving problems and mastering the details. But deep down, she always had a creative side waiting to shine. As a mom of two, she dreamed of combining her tech expertise with her love for creativity to build something meaningful.

In early 2024, she brought that dream to life with The Web District, a digital agency focused on web design, video filming and production, and marketing. With a small but talented team of designers, developers, and content creators, Layal set out to help brands bring their ideas to life online. It wasn’t long before they landed their first client, and now the agency works with businesses across Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman.

When the war in Lebanon hit, Layal faced some tough choices. She bravely decided to relocate the business to Muscat, Oman, while still keeping things running back in Lebanon. It wasn’t easy—emotionally or logistically—but her determination kept everything on track. Through it all, she’s remained focused on supporting businesses in the region and growing her agency.

Her advice to entrepreneurs?

Entrepreneur Spotlight: Meet Layal Al-Kibbi, Founder of The Web District.

Layal’s story is one of turning passion into purpose. Starting out as a computer engineer, she spent years in technical roles, solving problems and mastering the details. But deep down, she always had a creative side waiting to shine. As a mom of two, she dreamed of combining her tech expertise with her love for creativity to build something meaningful.

In early 2024, she brought that dream to life with The Web District, a digital agency focused on web design, video filming and production, and marketing. With a small but talented team of designers, developers, and content creators, Layal set out to help brands bring their ideas to life online. It wasn’t long before they landed their first client, and now the agency works with businesses across Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Oman.

When the war in Lebanon hit, Layal faced some tough choices. She bravely decided to relocate the business to Muscat, Oman, while still keeping things running back in Lebanon. It wasn’t easy—emotionally or logistically—but her determination kept everything on track. Through it all, she’s remained focused on supporting businesses in the region and growing her agency.

Her advice to entrepreneurs?
